It’s fair to say that in the past electric cycles haven’t had style on their side, with large, bulky frames and heavy batteries making them clumsy and awkward by nature. In comparison the new X-bykes look and feel like a well designed mountain bike, bringing all the benefits of modern cycle technology with the added bonus of a 250 w motor powered by a compact Lithium Lite 36v battery. At a glance you wouldn’t even realise the X-byke was an electric bike at all.
The battery is cleverly designed to slot into the water bottle holder – disguised in fact as a water bottle, and weigh just 2.5kg
The X-bykes give the rider a range of about 20 miles in PAS mode
